Tell us about you…
My name is Leah Amanuel, and I am a senior at Howard University, majoring in human performance and psychology from Denver, Colorado. I was drawn to the Experimental Learning Program because it offered an opportunity to merge my passion for public health with my interest in content creation. My primary goal was to creatively and cohesively communicate a critical public health issue.

Tell us about you…I’m Amina Saleban, about to graduate from the University of Washington Bothell with a degree in Public Health. I joined Let’s Talk Public Health because I’m passionate about how public health impacts communities and wanted to learn more about how these programs work. The ELP stood out to me as a great opportunity to grow as a leader and make a real impact in the field. My main goals were to improve my leadership skills, understand public health challenges better, and connect with others who share my passion. I hope to use these experiences to help create public health initiatives that truly benefit underserved communities.
Tell us about you...My name is Nicole Vicente, and I am senior graduating from the University of Washington Bothell with my Bachelors in Health Studies. I wanted to join the ELP because I have a passion for marketing and the determination to apply for my public health degree through public health education. My goals were to adjust to joining a public health organization, and create products on social media to tend to public health students, health professionals, and health organizations.
Let’s Talk Public Health is committed to fostering growth, inspiration and innovation among the next generation of public health professionals. The Experiential Learning Program (ELP) aims to provide opportunities for public health undergraduate and graduate students to enhance their health communication skills.
