Part of health communication is working with unexpected, non-traditional partners to share health messages in innovative and engaging ways. The “Outbreak: Epidemics in a Connected World” exhibit at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History is just that. This novel exhibit communicates about infectious disease outbreaks to the public using interactive multimedia and gamification.

The 2018 American Public Health Association Annual Meeting is in a few days, and we cannot wait! It’s not just the location (the beautiful San Diego) that’s got us stoked, but it’s also the sessions.
Here are some of the health communication, social and digital media, health informatics information technology, and social marketing sessions that we’re planning to attend.
We’re recapping two 2018 health conferences: the State of Black Health (SBH), hosted by NAATPN and partners, and the National Conference on Health Communication, Marketing and Media (NCHCMM), hosted by CDC and partners.
