Connecting women in public health and global health is essential for addressing the gender pay gap, promoting women's representation in leadership, fostering professional development, advocating for gender equity, and building a more inclusive and supportive work environment. Collaborative efforts among women can lead to positive changes that benefit individuals, organizations, and society as a whole.
Here are a few organizations/networks that are on my radar:

1. Black Ladies in Public Health

Black Ladies in Public Health (BLiPH) is a dynamic organization focusing on scholarship, service, self-care, and support to achieve equity in health and the public health profession for Black women and their communities. They provide a safe space for diverse experiences and professional roles, encouraging collaboration through partnerships, research studies, programs, conferences, advocacy, and workforce development to advance health outcomes and positive narratives for Black women in public health. BLiPH's mission is to connect, celebrate, and contribute to the health and lives of Black women, promoting sustainable pathways for equity in wealth and health through donations, sponsorships, and community engagement.

They offer opportunities for career advancement, mentorship, networking, advocacy in global health decision-making, data analysis, policy monitoring, and influencing gender transformative agendas, all aimed at creating a world that values women as leaders and improves health outcomes for all genders. Through collaborative efforts, they aim to achieve greater progress on gender equality, stronger health systems, and better health for communities globally, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals.
